Today’s wedding feature caught my eye with this picture…..

And so of course, I had to find out more. This wedding was held at Martha Stewart’s Bedford, NY farm for her nephew and his partner. I should have known…. this wedding had Martha Stewart written all over it.

I love the casual elegance of this wedding; from the decor down to the blankets that we’re laid out for guests to sit on while they munch on their food. Take a look at these pictures and I think you’ll be swooning over it too!

And that casual elegance was also carried out in the food…..

Look at the cakes…one vanilla, one chocolate, and one marbled symbolizing their union….sweet!

We will be at The Rooftop at Rockville Town Center’s Wedding Gala Event this weekend and I’ve been busy getting our table ready. I though I’d share with you my inspiration board for this event. I wanted a light, soft romantic feel, with lots of elegance and paid homage to Spring. I love the color green and added a white and silver to it. What do you think?

Yesterday, I posted this lovely cake on my FB page and told you how I was swooning over it.

Today, I bring you the wedding where it made it’s mark and was highlighted on Style Me Pretty! This wedding is full of whimsical details that can be incorporated into a bridal shower or baby shower yet it is also quite elegant and chic. I love the pink and aqua tones, the lemonade stand, the lamp, and books. All personal items representing the bride and groom.

April Fool’s: It’s Spring

Those of you who live in the DC area know that Mother Nature has played a cruel April Fool’s joke on us. Despite the fact that it’s April, the skies are grey and the temperature hovers at 40 degrees. Yet, despite this, the optimist in me continues that to believe that spring is just around the corner and any day now the flowers will bloom, the temperature will be in the 60s and the sun will shine. Until then I leave you with this because it helps me keep the faith, that Spring REALLY is coming!
